MEET THE TEAM

Michael Brunette – Owner/CFO

Michael Brunette is the dedicated CFO and co-owner of Structure Scan Inc, bringing over 15 years of hands-on experience. Stepping into the family business straight out of high school, he honed his skills under the guidance of the founder, his father. Dedicated to building on the foundation build by Tony, he has the skill and expericence to form a new vision of Damage Prevention in the GPR and Utility Locating Industry. A proud father of three—two girls and a boy—Michael is married to his beautiful partner, Jaqueline. Outside the office, his heart lies at the family hobby farm, where he spends quality time with loved ones. Whether tackling farm projects, tossing boots, or enjoying quirky outdoor activities, Michael values connection, hard work, and making memories under the sun.

Allan Gunter – Owner/CEO

Allan is our CEO and part-owner of Structure Scan. He has been involved in the industry for 7 years, starting out with zero knowledge of GPR and utility locating but a healthy desire to learn. Allan’s passion is archery. In his younger years, he was a competitive archer, being named to the Canadian National Archery team for 4 separate World Championships. He now participates in local archery competitions to be with friends and stays involved with the archery community by coaching up and coming competitive archers. Allan also loves to watch his daughter on the competitive dance stage and to watch his son fly around the soccer field.

Allan is also our resident wildlife “expert” and wild mushroom picker. Really, he’s into anything that he can do outdoors.

Janine Gunter – COO

Janine is our COO and the Master of keeping our office and staff organized. She is a dedicated mother to 2 children. When she’s not chauffeuring her daughter to dance classes or competitions… who are we kidding, she’s always chauffeuring her daughter to dance. Whether it’s classes or competitions, Janine is super dance mom. She also loves to watch her son play soccer or jam out on his electric guitar. When she finally gets time for herself, she loves to curl up with a good book and a glass of wine. Janine’s husband Allan notes that she is a coffee snob, so if anyone has extra work he can do to support her coffee habit, he’s available.

Tony Brunette – Founder

Born on an Air Force base in France and made Canada his home in 1960. Growing up in a time when men were defined by their work ethic, has now experienced the shift to an era where it's all about balancing work and life. Though not sure he will ever fully retire, certainly enjoys more time in Mexico and with his family each year. Happily married for 42 years and has the joy of watching his two sons and three grandchildren grow. His sons like to joke that I’m “older than dirt,” while his wife often teases that “I act like a child” – One of the best pieces of advice Tony received was to “choose to live the dream,” as happiness isn’t a result – it’s a choice. The East Coast of Canada is the last place on his travel bucket list, and he can’t wait to explore it. In his free time, you’ll find him fishing, walking in the bush, or lost in a good book.
